Who Can Apply To Sancta Sophia College?
Applications to live at Sancta are encouraged from domestic and international students studying (or intending to study) at the University of Sydney, the University of Technology Sydney, or the University of Notre Dame Sydney, and fitting one of the following categories:
- High School students (female only). Learn more about undergraduate accommodation.
- Undergraduate students (female only). Learn more about undergraduate accommodation.
- Postgraduate and Honours students (female/male/other). Learn more about postgraduate accommodation.
- Exchange students (female undergraduate students and female/male/other postgraduate students) and students in the final semester of their degrees are welcome to apply.
When can I apply?
- Undergraduate applications for 2027 (full year) open on Wednesday 1 April 2026 and close on Friday 31 July 2026.
- Postgraduate applications for 2027 (full year) open on Saturday 1 August 2026 and close on Monday 30 November 20926.
Due to high demand for a place at Sancta Sophia College, we encourage all applicants to apply as soon as possible and well before they receive confirmation of their university enrolment in December or January.
How to Apply to Sancta Sophia College
Step 1: Complete the online application form
- There are questions that allow you to submit supporting documentation.
- You can save your progress and continue at any time.
- There is no fee to submit an application.
- Includes a scholarship application section (when applications are open). Learn more about scholarships.
Step 2: Attend a personal interview with the Principal or Vice Principal
- Once we’ve received and reviewed your application, you may be invited to attend a personal interview. We will contact you via email to update you on the status of your application.
- Interviews can be face-to-face at Sancta or via video call.
Step 3: Receive an offer to live at Sancta
- If your application has been successful and we have availability, you will receive an offer to live at Sancta.
- If you have applied to Sancta before receiving your university offer or confirmation of enrolment, you may receive a conditional offer of entry into Sancta.
Step 4: Accept your offer to live at Sancta
- Successful applicants will be notified via email that they have received an offer of entry into Sancta.
- You can respond to your offer via the Student Portal.
- At this stage, you will be asked to sign your agreement with the College and pay your Enrolment and Commitment Fee. Learn more about our fees.
- After acceptance, new undergraduate residents are invited to connect with Sancta Ambassadors and other new residents through our Buddy Program.
