Graduate House is Sancta's gender-inclusive postgraduate residence located on campus at the University of Sydney. Designed for focus, independence and connection, it is home to a community of over 100 postgraduate and honours students, researchers and professionals who value both academic excellence and respectful community life.

A community of scholars

Intellectual depth, everyday Live alongside postgraduate and honours students, academics, and early-career professionals across Medicine, Dentistry, Law, Business, Arts and Social Sciences. Conversations extend beyond coursework, from research breakthroughs to professional insights.

Global perspectives Approximately one-half of postgraduate residents join us from overseas each year, including from Canada, China, India, United States, New Zealand, United Kingom and Singapore. With students from across Australia and around the world, Graduate House reflects the global nature of postgraduate study.

Mature and respectful living Graduate House brings together postgraduates who are serious about their work and engaged in the world around them. It balances independence with community, where peers live alongside one another in a social, yet mature atmosphere centred around respect.

Connected beyond one university Residents study at the University of Sydney and University of Notre Dame Australia, creating cross-institutional networks within one residential community.

Meals prepared daily All postgraduate residents enjoy fully catered meals prepared by Sancta’s in-house caterers. Your time is freed from grocery runs and cooking, allowing you to focus on study, research or professional commitments, and still have time to reconnect with friends and do more of what you love.

Designed for demanding schedules Whether you are completing clinical placements, intensive coursework, or thesis research, the structure of catered living supports consistency and routine for academic success.

The heart of the College The Dining Hall is more than a place to eat. It is where residents reconnect thoughout the day, meet peers from different disciplines, and build friendships across year levels and career stages. Shared meals create the rhythm of community life at Sancta.

Flexibility when you want it Two fully equipped communal kitchens are available in Graduate House for residents who enjoy cooking for themselves or hosting small gatherings with friends.

Facilities and services High-speed Wi-Fi internet, fortnightly room servicing and access to study and common spaces ensure a practical and well-supported living environment. Residents also receive a full gym membership to Sydney University Sport.

Engage in College life as much or as little as suits you This might mean joining one of Sancta’s sporting teams, participating in debating or cultural activities, raising awareness for a cause you are passionate about, or being a proud Sancta supporter at key College events. Your level of involvement is entirely shaped around your academic and professional commitments.

Pastoral care and security Graduate House offers safe and secure accommodation with CCTV, security fob access, and 24/7 on-call residential support. The Principal, Vice Principal and Dean of Students reside on site, alongside Resident Assistants, ensuring advice and support is always available when you need it. 

Academic support Sancta offers academic and professional mentoring programs, including weekly tutorials, alongside one-on-one academic guidance from the Dean of Students, strengthening the structure and support around your postgraduate study.
